At BELA our Mission
is to establish a multi-faceted educational organization designed to offer academic programming in the areas of entrepreneurship, marketing real estate, accounting, business finance, financial literacy and college preparation
How we started
Established in 2017, the Business & Entrepreneurial Learning Academy is a non-profit organization designed to deliver educational programming in the areas of entrepreneurship, marketing, real estate, accounting, business finance, financial literacy and college preparation. In 2017, BELA was initially created as a summer enrichment program for high school students interested in the world of business and entrepreneurship. Since then, BELA has evolved into an organization that offers programming in the financial literacy and college prep spaces as well.
BELA was founded by Kevin Richberg who has been teaching Finance, Marketing and Entrepreneurial Studies at Montclair High School since 2002. Prior to becoming a teacher, Kevin worked in Corporate Finance and Marketing for a number of companies including General Electric Capital Corporation, Host Communications & Integrated Sports International.
